We reap what we sow

We have all heard this quote in one form or another: "What goes around comes around", "what you give out, you get back" etc. On a practical, physical level it is easy to see and understand. On a metaphysical or mental level perhaps it is less easy to experience and understand but it is no less true.
As within, so without
This hermetic axiom tells us that if we are seeing something outside of ourselves, it must apply equally inside. Our thoughts and feelings are the inner seeds that we sow and we reap them in the form of our life events and experiences.

Our inner most thoughts and feelings cannot be fooled by the words we speak if we don't really believe them. I just met a woman who said, "I'm telling myself I'm not clumsy", but I had met her as she was telling me that her young daughter was very clumsy and that she got it from her. As I talked to her further, she described how the message came from her Mother, and I'm sure if I spoke to the mother she would tell me she got it from her Mum and so it goes on through the generations. Even though this woman was speaking an affirmation of not being clumsy (we'll speak on another day about 'NOT' and negative affirmation), her inner talk, thoughts and feelings were that she was very clumsy and that was what demonstrated in her life.

The more we think a thought or feel a feeling the stronger that message goes out into the universe and starts to mould the unformed substance of creation into the demonstration and manifestation of form.
Perhaps we have a repeating feeling of not being safe, and then we see situations all around us where we are threatened. Maybe we constantly place our thoughts on the 'global recession' and see lack and struggle demonstrate in our lives.

These subtle realms are no less powerful that the world of form, and we always get back the results of our thinking and feeling. This more we place our attention, energy and focus on a particular thought or feeling the more it grows. This is the creative process at work in our lives and when we fully understand how it works, just like every other scientific law or principle, we can apply it for a better experience of life.

Take a moment now to audit your thoughts and feelings. Pay particular attention to those that you have over and over again. What are you sowing, and how are the results showing up in your life?

Now is the time to dig up any seeds that you don't really want to bear fruit and start planting afresh for a nourishing, supportive, thriving crop in the spring.

You are the farmer of your life and right now you can choose the crop you want to reap.

In Love
