Cherri Huber, the Zen teacher says, "That voice inside your head is not the voice of God, it just sounds like it thinks it is."
When you look in the mirror what is it that your inner voice says? And does it feel genuine? We may hear a voice that says we look good and we've got it going on, but when you look deeply into your own eyes you can't fake yourself out.
For most of us the 'Inner Critic' is the first voice we hear when we look in the mirror. All the things that are not good enough about us come to the surface.
When that happens we have a choice. We can mentally agree and keep living a small life, or we can rise above these thoughts and recognize that we are good enough, that we command our thoughts and don't choose to live at their beck and call.
We are raised to believe that criticism and judgement will somehow motivate us to achieve our potential. Not true. Positive reinforcement is what will get us greater success in life.
When your inner critic takes hold and the chattering voices are telling you you're not worthy take a moment to remember your greatest success, or the most fun you had or the time when you really felt like you were walking on air.
The mind doesn't know the difference between actual events and memory, so if you keep bringing to the front of your mind all the times you were flying high then that is what you will be programmed for.
You are the only thinker in your mind, for more information on how to get greater success by using your head fill in the sign up sheet and come join the family.
You can have more and be more if you think more.
In love
Juliet
